PETE MOSS – Live at Flask Lounge!

Philadelphia based Pete Moss knows a thing or two about house music. Having traveled all over the world in search of the ultimate underground dance floors, and releasing over 250 projects on top labels, he’s only just begun leaving his mark on the dance music world. His first 20 years of being a D.J/ Producer have been nothing short of incredible. Releasing originals, remixes, Albums and Mix comps on cutting edge labels such as, Ovum, Quench, Nordic trax, Dessous, ALola, Definity, Large, Seamless, I records, MN2’s, Acryl and dozens of others, as well as his own underground Recline imprint, he’s made his mark in the deep tech world and then some.

Always following new talent as well as his original musical inspirations, Pete has been remixed by some heavy hitters, including Josh Wink, Karizma, The Timewriter, Mike Delgado, Satoshi Tomiie, Joshua Iz, Omid 16b, just to name a few. As well as doing his own remixes for artists such as Andreas Saag, Mateo&Matos, Kevin Yost, The Timewriter, Onur Ozman, Scope, Fer Ferrari, The Rurals, Greenskeepers, Stan Kolev, Jay J, Daniel Kyo, and many others.

This year proved his biggest yet with two collaborations with Cassy for her Quench label, with top notch remixes from Ron Trent and Marcus Hawkes.

Known as one of the finest late night/underground Dj’s on the map, Pete has a reputation for giving his all at every gig and leaving people touched and inspired by his signature deep and eclectic sound. Including crushing it at Fabric London, La Terrazza Barcelona, Roxy Prague, Salon Daome Montreal, Harlot San Francisco, KiNg King L.A. The Arches GLasgow, La Santanera PDC Mexico, Rioma Mexico City, Smartbar Chicago, Living Room Miami, Deep end San Diego just to name a few.

Luckily he has no plans to slow down, he has big plans for 2018 already, including a monster of a new release for Ovum, following his 2017 anthem ” Just for you “ Along with big remixes for Bogota Records and Isgud Recordings, a new original album in the works, and another busy year playing his heart out.

Just Desserts: w/ Cakewalk, Rob Wood, & Moses

SO happy to finally be able to host these gentlemen at my favorite musical church. Robert Wood will be making his Portland debut, and I’m welcoming back to town my very good amigo cakewalk for his first time @ the illustrious FLASK LOUNGE. You may have seen him performing at countless Pub House Productions parties. The dude has been on an absolute fucking tear this year as far as performances go playing all over New England and beyond. Expect fuego house & techno all night long. three individual sets + a 3-way back 2 back session to close it out will be a truly unique experience. DO. NOT. MISS. DIS.

▶ CAKEWALK ▶ [BINARY, Flight617] Boston, MA
Growing up and cleaning the house to jazzy, soulful, disco funky stuff (thanks to his parents) while also getting that old school hip hop/R&B influence (thanks to his big bro) is where it all began for James Walker aka cakewalk. Jump ahead many years and musical phases later, after DJing college parties in Boston/NH and attending the MMMMaven DJ & Music Production courses, he quickly found his place in the Boston underground scene.

Since then cakewalk has become a resident with BINARY and Flight 617 which are two of the top underground parties in Boston. He has also shared the stage with electronic music hero’s like Soul Clap, Purple Disco Machine, Way Out West, Little Boots, Chus + Ceballos, No Regular Play, Beckwith, and Ben Silver of Orchard Lounge.

This should give you an idea of the wide range of musical waves that can be present during a cakewalk set. Expect to hear anything from the funky sounds of disco to those deep latin tribal safari ride feels. Being known for playing multiple different parties and being able to catch a vibe while still blending genres is one example of what sets him apart from the basic DJs that are heard too often today.

From playing rooftop parties in NYC to international clubs like Habitat Living Sound, cakewalk is quickly making his name known and funking up dance floors all over the globe.

Winter Warmer – – Patrick Barry / Jen Barnes

Feeling chilly this winter? Come feel the heat on Flask’s dance floor with 2 incredible djs playing amazing house music all night long!

**This is also a birthday party for 4 friends- Kathryn Haigh, Allyson Nicholson, Kait Pressey, and Hillary Winslow

(Beltek Foundation)

Jen will be staying up way past her bedtime to help celebrate Hillary, Kait, Allyson, and Kathryn’s birthdays! For those that don’t know, Jen mixed sets under the DJ name “popgirl23” for almost 2 decades. First playing out around 1998 or 1999, she gained her first of many residencies in about a year’s time. Her ass-whooping deep funky house sets were heard at Una Wine Bar, Lava Lounge, The Mercury, Bubba’s Sulky Lounge, The Roxy, and too many to even remember. She was voted “Portland’s Best DJ” in various local magazines and other media for the better part of the 2000’s. She has played in more than two dozen cities across the US, including both coasts and the south, plus the UK and the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Jen was also known as a champion of the underground rave and house music scenes in Maine and New England going back since the beginning of the 90s. She threw her first events way back in 1992 and helped bring Beltek Festival from what it was, to what it became. She has been there, done that, and bought the lunchbox. Jen will be playing some sexy a$$ $hit!

(SITH/Dusk Till Done/Tradecraft)

With a dedication and desire to grow that is rarely seen in some new DJ’s, Patrick honed his skills playing for Boston’s eclectic musical community at different house parties, sharing deck time and gaining tips from Boston djs. It was here that Patrick’s sound began to evolve and his love for techno grew to compliment his love for house music. His technical skills improving each time he stepped behind the decks, Patrick’s undying desire to obtain every track he could to help polish his sound, grew and grew landing club and warehouse gigs regularly at throughout Boston as well as New York, Montreal, Miami, Philadelphia, Montego Bay (Jamaica), Ottawa, Portland (ME), Washington (D.C.), Providence, Portsmouth (NH), and Burlington (VT) alongside djs such as Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Rødhad, Mr. C, Paul Woolford, Dj Three, YokoO, Matt Tolfrey, Culoe De Song, Till Von Sein, Ian Pooley, John Tejada, Chloe Harris, Will Saul, La Fleur, Funk D’Void, Juan MacLean, Ejeca, Phonique, Dance Spirit, Lazare Hoche, Jimpster, Pleasurekraft, John Debo, Francis Harris (Adultnapper), Blond:ish, Oliver $, Naveen G, David Scuba, Ejeca, Pete Moss, Jay Tripwire, Urulu, Pezzner, Fred Everything, Adam Shelton, Clive Henry, and Justin Martin.

In 2012, Patrick and fellow Boston dj Tom Bartlett formed the duo “SITH” bringing their brand of deep and funky tech and house to dance floors everywhere. 2013 saw the creation of Dusk Till Done, an underground events company, which hosted numerous forward thinking artists in the Boston area at clubs and other locations.
