We’re back with the first VIBE CHECK of the year on Wednesday, January 28th, with guests @discodugenon and @_____________m.e_____________
It’s been a long time coming to welcome @discodugenon to the Vibe Check bill. A veteran of the queer scene and one of our longtime favorites, his sets are always high octane and explosive. Disco Dungeon and KTTNMTTNS first shared the stage years ago at his Juiced party at citrus and are so excited to reunite behind the decks for Vibe Check. He recently blew the roof off of Flask at KVNTS DUNGEON and is coming back to do it all over again! With roots sit in bouncy club, disco, techno, and house Disco Dungeon always keeps the body moving but this set will push beyond his usual sound into unexpected territory. We cannot wait to see what he cooks up!
Representing the next wave, @_____________m.e_____________ joins us as part of Vibe Check’s ongoing commitment to platforming emerging talent. After moving from Philly last year, they’ve been making a real splash on the Portland dance scene. A co-founder of WMPG’s new program @asyncawait.mp3, we first crossed paths on the dance floor at our sister series SUBTEXT. They bring a deep curiosity and a taste for the avant-garde that feels right at home at Vibe Check.
Joined by residents @cybergiga and @djkttnmttns and their b2b project @1337.Fr34ks, expect high-energy, free-form, genre-bending selections and playful experimentation.
